Join Angie, YES ! The wonderful Angie of “Angies Gym”! We are so excited to have her teach her local favorite Piyo Class at Island Yoga !!

This class is an invigorating, high intensity session of PiYo, where the dynamic fusion of Pilates and Yoga comes to life! This class is designed to enhance your strength, flexibility, and endurance through a series of fluid movements that flow seamlessly together. Flow Yoga links the breath with movement flowing from pose to pose in a way that challenges you to drop focus out of your mind and into your body. This well-rounded class will strengthen and stretch all areas of your body, often having you break a sweat as you undo physical and mental blockages. You will step off your mat feeling stronger, more centered, and ready to take on life with more ease & a smile.

Each class offers modifications suggested by your teacher, allowing both beginner and seasoned practitioners to join at an intensity that feels best to them.

💪🏼 5:30-6:30pm -Sculpt W/ Savana
Sculpt is a fusion class incorporating strength training, Pilates moves, and Yoga ! This offering emphasizes both muscle toning and fluid movements with great detail to alignment and slowing things down for an intentional pace that is both safe and effective. It consists of warm-up, strength training /conditioning and cool down using yoga stretches and a little nervous system reset before heading out the door.

This class is available to anyone looking for a challenging workout even beginners! Each set will have variations including light weight or no weights, so you can adapt, doing what feels good along the way with no judgment !

Expect to sweat and have some fun! Don’t forget to stay hydrated & bring water to class.

Most of you have joined us for yoga but have you joined us for a workout ?! We have a few new classes this season ! If you would like to start your Sunday by feeling strong & empowered you have to join us for Sculpt Circuit Workout With Amanda every Sunday 8:30-9:30am !💪🏼😅

Sculpt Circuit is a dynamic fitness class designed to provide a comprehensive workout that delivers maximum results! This class is perfect for individuals of all fitness levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, who want to enhance their strength, flexibility, and overall body composition.

In Sculpt Circuit, you’ll engage in a series of dynamic circuits that combine strength training, bodyweight exercises, and resistance work. Each session is thoughtfully structured to ensure a balanced approach to fitness, focusing on sculpting and toning your muscles while promoting overall wellness.

✨Expect to leave this class glistening from your workout and ready to take on whatever the new week brings you!

💧stay hydrated in these workout classes by bringing water to class & sweat towel if you need one!

There is no such thing as being “bad at yoga”.

Most people consider themselves being “bad at yoga” when they can’t touch their toes, or have a hard time getting out of their head, when they are uncomfortable trying something new, or think they have to do advance poses in order to be in a yoga class..

None of that is required for yoga or measure skill or depth of a yoga practice. Ive seen people deem themselves being bad at yoga because they don’t fit into the box society or social media has curated and the shame & frustration it has caused is really upsetting to see. This stupid box has shut the door to so many people that NEED yoga, and could use the many benefits of this practice.

Yoga is simply that. A ✨PRACTICE.✨
It is something we show up and do OUR own version of “best”at. Some days we have bad days, and have less energy. Others we have more energy to give and feel better about our efforts. We are human & yoga asks that you just show up for YOU -not to benefit a scoring system or to be “the best at”. It’s to show up for yourself & become the best version of yourself each day, Honoring what shows up and what you learn along the way.

The Asana - poses in yoga were not created to be done perfectly or not at all. They were created to be ✨practiced✨ To create space where we once felt stuck. To create space for more grace, kindness and love for you & then others around you.

At Island Yoga we teach from an All Levels lens. Beginners and advanced practitioners in the same room because no matter how long you have been doing yoga the movement and mindfulness shifts & changes you. You learn to honor your body and mind exactly as it is in each moment.
Many variations are offered so that you may be curious in finding something that feels good , and permission is given to skip poses or change the pose all together because your practice is ✨yours✨. No one else in the room cares what you are doing.

Give yourself permission to release negative self talk. Show up exactly as you are. Move. Breathe with an open mind and heart and we promise you that you will learn something about yourself & feel better after your practice, & THAT is what matters ! ❤️

🧘‍♀️5:30-7pm Candle Lit Restorative Yoga + Sound Bath (Studio & Virtually) -
Enjoy a RESTorative Yoga practice to slow down and end your day.Restorative yoga is meant to target the parasympathetic nervous system to REST & RESTORE the mind body & soul! Each pose is supportive & held for long periods of time so that you have time to soften the tension you may be carrying.

This class ends with a Sound Bath Savasana using instruments such as singing bowls, chimes , and ocean drum! This portion of class is a meditative experience that allows the vibrations of the instruments to guide you further into the present moment aiding you into a deeper relaxation & rest.
