Well season is underway, but the weather is still warm. Keep in mind that once the temps hit 65 degrees out there it might be too warm to hunt, or don't expect anything longer than 20-30 minutes. Remember that dogs hunting run a lot harder than any normal exercise and they don't know enough to pace themselves. Keep lots of water on hand and take many breaks, in the shade if you can.

The cool weather has been great for hunting. Still it is important to keep an eye on you dogs as they might not be in hunting shape just yet. Take plenty of water for your hunt and make sure to give them a break now an again. If the temps get close to 70 degrees they might run the risk of over heating. Keep your hunts short so that you can have many more in the future.
