Oconto Falls Ice Fishing Team

Oconto Falls Ice Fishing Team NEW for 2022, Oconto Falls HS has their own ice fishing team. The team will allow students to share their passion for the outdoors and knowledge of ice fishing.

The Oconto Falls High School Ice Fishing Team will provide a coed interactive outdoor learning environment where OFHS students can share life skills and learn techniques related to ice fishing. This learning environment will always be evolving as different students interact with each other and compete in fishing tournaments.

Thank you all for the help and support this year!! We finished the WIFA-Wisconsin Interscholastic Fishing Association 2026 State Tournament in 49th place out of almost 90 schools this weekend. It was a tough bite Saturday and with no time on Friday to scout, we kind of went in blind. But, by the end of the day Saturday we managed 167.25" and thanks to Isaiah catching the biggest Bass of the day, we took home $500. Thank you
Fun was had by all and the anglers kept us all laughing throughout the weekend!!

We had a fun morning watching our anglers compete against themselves for most inches and Brody came home with the prize with almost 100".
We then teamed up with Shawano Area Waterways Management and picked up garbage on the lake and most landings.

That's a wrap on our 2024/2025 Ice Fishing Season!! Again we would like to thank all Anglers, Parents and Supporters, especially recently Finnegan Lake Walleye Club for donating money to our team again. Also a big Thank You to WIFA-Wisconsin Interscholastic Fishing Association for all your hard work and time to make this such a fun season once again. We can't wait for next season already!!
