Today, athletes from across the country will swim, bike, and run through beautiful Lake Country before crossing the finish line at Oconomowoc City Beach.

To our athletes: Trust your training, enjoy the journey, and leave it all on the course.

To our volunteers, sponsors, spectators, public safety teams, and community partners: Thank you for helping make this incredible day possible.

Welcome to the Lake Country Triathlon—and welcome to Oconomowoc! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

We’re excited to welcome athletes, families, volunteers, and spectators to our hometown for race weekend.

While you’re here, please take some time to visit our local restaurants, shops, coffee spots, and businesses. When you stop in, be sure to tell them you’re in town for the Lake Country Triathlon. It helps our community see the impact this event brings—and reminds them why all those cones suddenly appeared.

Thank you for racing with us, supporting local businesses, and being part of an incredible weekend in Oconomowoc.

We’ll see you at the start line!

Bike course update: for half iron riders there is a surprise dip in the road on Morningside Road. It’s at the bottom of the hill so you might be going pretty fast, and if you’re not paying attention, the dip will definitely surprise you if you ride straight through it. I’ve done my best to mark it well and there is a safety cone next to it as well. Just move over towards the middle of the road to avoid the dip.

Bike course update: for half iron and Olympic athletes. You will notice on Wiley Road that there are signs for loose gravel. The road was recently chipped sealed, but it is in great condition for riding. You will only find loose gravel on the shoulder of the road. So as long as you avoid the very shoulder, you will be just fine.

For half iron athletes when you approach Wiley Road from Morningside Road you will notice a path has been cleared for you through the gravel. I have written this section many times recently, where the gravel has not been clear and it is perfectly fine to ride through. I can’t guarantee it will be clear on race morning, but given it’s at the top of the hill you will not be going fast and as I mentioned, it’s not been an issue for my rides in the past.

Bike course update: the course is completely marked, and the significant hazards marked with yellow tape. Here are some examples of what you’ll see on the course alerting you to hazards. Please note there is one section on the course where you will cross loose gravel. It’s not a rough crossing, but please slow down and be careful.
