Meet Ardmore, one of our beloved Ivey Ranch horses who has a condition commonly known as roaring. This occurs when part of the larynx (voice box) doesn’t function properly, restricting airflow and producing a distinctive roaring or whistling sound when he breathes. The condition can make breathing more difficult, particularly during exercise, and has progressively worsened over the two years Ardie has been part of our equine family.
Just yesterday, Ardmore experienced another episode of breathing difficulty, prompting our veterinarian to recommend surgery. On Thursday, October 29, Ardmore will undergo a procedure to help correct this condition and improve his ability to breathe comfortably. This surgery is an important investment in his health, comfort, and quality of life, helping him continue doing what he does best — bringing joy, confidence, and connection to the individuals we serve.
The timing couldn’t be more extraordinary! Within an hour of learning that Ardmore needed surgery, we discovered that Every.org would be offering a 2:1 donation match tomorrow, October 22, in celebration of World Animal Month!
That means every dollar contributed toward Ardmore’s veterinary expenses will be TRIPLED! A $25 gift becomes $75, $50 becomes $150, and $100 becomes $300.
