How many of you have asked about breed awards at a show, and were told the registry never got back to them, or they don't do them because so few people do it and it's not worth the hassle. At the Pony Cup we have a Breed Award for every breed competing in our Championships! While an award may be sponsored by the actual breed registry, any person or organization can be a sponsor for their favorite breed's beautiful highpoint sash as well as a special trophy. Who is eligible to win? Anyone who has breed papers with their horses name on them! Not only do the different breeds have awards, but we also have a Grade Breed Award! This year it has been generously sponsored by Natalie Doebele in honor of her first horse. Sponsors will be mentioned on social media, be announced during and seen on the Jumbotron at the show, and appear in the show program. 2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac…and not just any Horse… it’s a Fire Horse year.

Apparently it’s all about courage, independence, momentum and bold moves- which, to me, sounds a lot like this is going to be my perfect year.
The Fire Horse year is all about: trusting your gut, backing yourself, and trotting confidently past things that used to make you poo your pants.
