On Saturday, May 30th we’ll be coming together at CrossFit Shrewsbury to celebrate DQ the best way we know how — through community, movement, and a workout built around some of his favorite movements.

We’ll be hosting one class at 8:00am, bringing everyone together for one big workout in his honor.

This workout is for everyone. Whether you trained alongside DQ, knew him outside the gym, or simply want to come show support, all who knew and loved him are invited to join us.

We’ll have modifications for every fitness level, so don’t let the workout stop you from being part of it. The goal isn’t how fast you finish — it’s showing up together.

Can’t make it to CFS? You can still honor DQ by completing the workout at your local CrossFit affiliate.

Let’s celebrate his memory, share stories, sweat together, and honor the impact he had on all of us.

On Saturday, May 30th, we will gather here at CrossFit Shrewsbury to celebrate the life of a truly extraordinary human being. DQ was far more than just a member at our gym for almost a decade, he was family.

His infectious smile and positivity were the hallmarks of his character. DQ exuded a kindness that was as deep as it was genuine, with a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. His impact was profound, reaching beyond the walls of this gym and into the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be missed more than words can express, but the legacy of his kindness and the warmth of his spirit will remain with us forever.

We invite you to join us as we honor his memory, not just with a workout, but with the same energy and heart that DQ brought into these four walls. We want to celebrate the man who could brighten your day simply by being himself.

Whether you are a current member, a former member, a friend, or family, please come and share in this tribute. You don’t need to be a CrossFitter; you just need to have been touched by the incredible light that was DQ. 🤍

Some people change a room just by walking into it. DQ was one of those people with his big smile and energy that lifted everyone around him. We are devastated by his loss and hold tight to every memory of his warmth. Gone too soon, will never be forgotten. 🤍 Rest Easy DQ ♥️

This crew showed up for the 5:30am Bootcamp Class.

They could have stayed in bed.

They had reasons not to come.

They came anyway. And when they walked in, their coach knew their name. Their people were already there. The work was already programmed and waiting.

That’s what makes showing up easier here than anywhere else.

You don’t have to figure anything out. You just have to walk through the door.
