Named in honor of legendary Ocean Springs Greyhound head football coach Hugh Pepper, the tournament celebrates a remarkable figure who won 191 games and 12 Gulf Coast Conference championships during his career. Coach Pepper’s legacy extends beyond high school football, as he was also an All-American football player at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he is a member of the Hall of Fame and Legends Club.

We are coming to a close with our introductions, and it will be the Greyhounds Head Coach, Jake Bramlett.
Coach Bramlett is entering his 4th season as Head Coach with an overall record of 26-9 and Region 4-7A record of 15-1.

As we near the end of our (re)introductions, we have another position change that is very exciting. Shane Trosclair has been a staple in the Greyhound Field House for the last two decades. His presence will be missed on Friday nights, but he is heading up one of the most crucial parts of our program. ‼️Introductions: Coordinator Edition‼️
First up we have our newly appointed Offensive Coordinator, Brodie King. His playing career started at Biloxi and continued at Jones CCC, then Mississippi State. Coach King was promoted to OC this spring following 3 seasons coaching several positions on the offensive side of the ball.
Moving to the defensive side, Chase Carmody is going on his 4th year as the Defensive Coordinator for the Greyhounds. Coach has had many successful stops including a 7A State Championship as a DC at Pearl and 3 years as the Head Coach at Pass Christian. The OS defense has allowed only 15 points per game over the last 3 years!

‼️It’s time for some more coaches staying in Greyhound Nation‼️
First up is Karlos Dillard. Coach joined the OS defensive staff in 2023 as the Linebackers Coach. He will be adding a new role this year as he will also serve as the Head 9th Grade Coach!
Next is your Special Teams Coordinator and Tight Ends Coach, Micheal Collins. Coach Collins has been on sidelines since 2021 and held previous positions at Moss Point and Biloxi!

‼️For this weeks intro’s, you will see some guys very familiar to the Ocean Springs sideline‼️
Both of these coaches are former Greyhounds that continue to give back to this School and Community. First up we have Defensive Line Coach, Kendall Davis. Coach Davis has been coaching the Greyhounds since 2018, but this year he will also coach on the 9th grade staff. Our second alum is our Cornerback Coach and 8th grade Defensive Coordinator, Alan Howze. Coach Howze has been with us since 2021, but is a familiar name and face to the Ocean Springs faithful! Thank you coaches for another year!
