Our friends, Rian and Teri Tanenbaum, are on the front lines of the pandemic in New Orleans. Rian and Pam grew up together and he is a doctor in New Orleans. Hello Friends and Family,
I hope this note finds you safe and healthy. We find ourselves in strange and unprecedented times.
With New Orleans emerging as the next Covid -19 epicenter, taking care of our local health care workers and our sick is critical now and to our future. Therefore, I have set up a GoFundMe account and asking you to give whatever you can so we can provide medical support to those in need. I’ve also started a grassroots campaign to collect all PPE (personal protective equipment) and other supplies for our hospitals.
Every little bit will help. With the outreach, I received so far we’ve already been able to deliver drums of hand sanitizer from local schools to two hospital ICU’s. Also, some gloves and protective gear and paper towels have been delivered. We are currently having a thermometer drive so that each patient has their own thermometer and the staff doesn’t have to sterilize between uses.
