It’s been a whirlwind of a weekend, but the perfect end to this year’s racing for TE3 Motorsports - Tripp E. Friday night we made our way to Ashland Virginia to prep for Saturday’s Chris Beazley's 18th Annual Turkey Trot. Unfortunate weather pushed Friday’s races to Saturday and continued rain delayed the Saturday start, but we were there and determined to get one last race in.

Tripp would miss practice due to a set up issue with his kart. We got that fixed and his first laps were qualifying which would have him starting the feature in 8th position of 11 drivers. He stayed steady and aware, avoided 2 wrecks, and made a late pass with 3 laps to go leading him to a 3rd place finish!! This is his best finish of the entire season. He didn’t start his feature until almost midnight (14ish hours after arriving to the track). Joe is the absolute best for getting us there and back safely, continuing to work on the kart, making sure I was taking care of myself and not overdoing it at 30 weeks pregnant, and keeping Tripp focused after all those hours and exhaustion.

Our hope for the weekend was to learn a new track and to simply finish the race. A top 3 was far from the expectation, but his perseverance through the trials of this season were truly rewarded. Best of all, he won a frozen turkey 🤣 and a couple bucks!!! The turkey was a huge deal to him, and he’s learning with every lap. Even vocalizing he was scared last night with the unknown of the track and not being able to practice. The resilience racing has instilled in him is unmatched. So proud of him and thankful for our team to get him out there and competitive.

🏁 TE3 Motorsports is Hitting the Road! 🦃🔥

This weekend, Tripp is heading to Capital City Speedway for the Turkey Trot — our first race out of the area! We’re beyond excited for this next step in his racing journey.

It hasn’t been easy getting here… After a tough crash at Mardela last race, we had a big rebuild on our hands. New parts, new tires, and a whole lot of late nights in the garage — but the kart is finally ready to roll again. 💪🏽🏎️

🏁 It’s Been a Tough Start to the Season for TE3 Motorsports 🏁

Tripp has faced a challenging start to his karting season — battling motor issues, mechanical failures, and already having to replace a brand-new body. Despite the setbacks, his determination to get back on the track is stronger than ever. 💪🏼

We’re hoping to get him racing again this weekend, but like many of you know, racing isn’t cheap. If anyone would like to lend a hand, any little bit helps and is truly appreciated.

💰 Typical race weekend costs include:

🏁 Opening Weekend Recap – TE3 Motorsports 🏁

Well, the first race of the season didn’t go quite as planned for TE3 Motorsports and driver Tripp Enste, but what a ride it was!

This year, we’ve moved up to the newly formed Junior Sportsman Division, which merges the traditional Junior 1 and Junior 2 classes. We’re easily the most inexperienced team & driver combination in the field—but that didn’t stop Tripp from leaving it all on the track.

After a few early spins in practice, Tripp regrouped and ripped off a blistering 11.982-second qualifying lap, nearly a full second faster than his practice times! That lap landed him an impressive 4th place starting position.

This week’s event also featured a Dash For Cash, and our division was up. After crossing the scales post-race, we discovered a significant oil leak—a blown gasket. For most small teams like ours, that would have ended our day. But thanks to the incredible support of our racing community, we were back in action!

A huge shoutout to Chad Hayes of Dynamic Prepenologies for helping us track down a replacement motor from Mr. John Whitby of Shore Mechanical Services. Because of their generosity and teamwork, Tripp was able to run the feature and get valuable seat time.
