Our last travel softball tournament ever as the Kingston City Royals ended in a 3rd Place finish, out of 43 teams, at USSSA Eastern Nationals!

The bigger honor was to be selected by the umpires and USSSA representatives to receive the USSSA Eastern Nationals Sportsmanship Award.

There is so much more to say and reflect upon and when we can find the words we will share them.

Incredibly the Top 5 teams in this division were all from NY! Special shout out to Capital Region Reign Softball who finished 2nd and the Hudson Valley Hawks who finished 4th.

Paul Zweifel, Teri & Meghan... Carmen was with us all week.

Royals won this mornings bracket game 1-0. Playing in the Winners bracket finals today at 1:00pm with the chance to advance to the tournament Championship game tomorrow!!

Been a whirlwind couple of days at Nationals with lots of rain delays and rescheduled games for the 43 teams just in our division. Royals went 3-0 and enter the bracket as the 4th seed. Wish us luck as we enter double elimination play this afternoon!

Our last weekend tournament ever as a team. 💙Grateful again to finish first. Two great comeback wins vs Frozen Ropes Lady Outlaws and Capital Region Reign Softball who really took it to us early today. Some late game heroics by multiple Royals saved the day, including a walk-off Grand Slam by Ava DelSalto! (Video in separate post!)

It was a pleasure playing The Lady Outlaws and Reign. Some class teams with class coaches.
