Perry County 12U All-stars are the 12U Cal Ripken Mid-Atlantic Regional Champions. They will now represent the region of PA, MD, NJ, DE, NY, and Ontario in the World Series held in Ocala, FL from August 6th to 13th. The team is comprised of ball players from all over western Perry County. After competing against each other through the regular season and local league championship, the all-stars wer

e chosen and have worked together to win the PA District 8 title, PA SouthEast Title, and recently the Mid-Atlantic Region Title.

11 boys are on the roster and just finished a remarkable tournament in Monroe Township, NJ. They played 6 games and outscored opponents 87-16. Temperatures were 90-100 degrees. It was a total team effort. These boys are so much fun to be around and get along so well. They have worked hard to get where they are. They now need your support to raise funds quickly to send them and their family to Florida to test their skills against 9 other teams from across the country. Closing Ceremonies over. We are on the way home now. Estimated time of arrival is between 9 AM -12 PM Sunday.

The boys put up a good fight. After allowing a 2 run Homer in the 1st inning, they settled down and held them scoreless the next inning before coming out big in the bottom on the 2nd. Taking advantage of a few wild pitches and an error, PC squeezed in 4 runs with 2 outs. Give credit to The Pacific Southwest Region champs for clawing their way back through the next few innings and pulled ahead 5-4. With 6 outs left, we had confidence that we could still manage another comeback win. But only one hit in seven batters later, they had to tip their hats to Bakersfield, CA. Next game.....sorry, that's it.
