While our race is a celebration of adventure, the human spirit, America, and our community, our race family lost our best friend, Mark Macy, to Alzheimer’s this past week. Mark was the epitome of vibrant, positive energy and a testament to positivity and smiles. He was the impetus behind our ultra being a fundraiser and awareness campaign for Alzheimer’s… Our Centennial-celebrating race is still on, just now doubly in honor of “Mace” and his awesome spirit and accomplishments while here. To any new fans, we’re the coolest, most amazing road ultra in the world and this year we’ve got a 100-miler to celebrate the 100th anniversary of plus our classic 140-miler. Both along an insanely beautiful stretch of old Route 66 in Northern Arizona. All are welcome. Volunteer. Wave a flag. Be part of history. Alzheimer's Association

What an honor and a joy to participate in the Seligman Centennial Celebration to spread the word about the 5th Annual Route 66 Ultrarun Nov 14-16, 2026. The Father of Historic Route 66 Angel Delgadillo received recognition for his incredible achievement and his continuing work at 99 years young. Fun DJ, great vendors, amazing band and swing dancers, and more. What a KICK!
