Weekend? It was awesome 1200+ miles place three golf bikes visited with two groups of people they gave me the reassurance and what I am doing is not only the right thing that is in honor of their fallen loved one, but also how much it means to be to have them behind me and the reassurance to move forward again and again for these people and these families!! from this trip I hope that everyone that has received either a free or nearly free high visibility yellow Bike friendly Atl T-shirt will be proud to start wearing it on the first of every month at some point during the day taking a picture posting to social media in honor of a loved one or friend they know it did not make it, but it’s proud to raise awareness for safer streets for everyone to use in their honor. Please tag at Bike friendly Atl in your post and let’s create a social media tsunami if I can wear these shirts every day in honor of these 206 fallen friends I only asked the people show up once a month how fake a person one must be to have a shirt or not get a shirt that is free and show their support. I hope all of you had a great weekend. I hope to have fewer of these in the future but until safer streets come our way, I will do what I feel has been the right thing for 15+ years take care and be safe all

As we all get through the end of a week with several anniversary dates first and foremost to me is 9/11, I will never forget that day where I was at the moment it happened and what transpired for 25 years now after it! Then there’s the one year anniversary of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a man just making his voice known and trying to raise awareness for people to make intelligent choices may he rest in peace! It’s also the anniversary of a tragic end of a life of Eric Keias in Cedartown, Georgia. Eric was on his way home from work late at night riding down the side of a Tulane road when he was hit knocked over into a ravine. The driver got out. Don’t know what he assessed, but decided to leave went home called his friend. His friend was the sheriff after a little debate. I guess the sheriff decided to call his friend who was in the state legislator and he decided to call the ambulance when the ambulance got to the scene, the paramedic said if you had called the ambulance when the crash happened, he would still be alive!!! Life got in the way of me presenting that ghost Bike within months after it happened and I decided as his anniversary came up that I would place one on his anniversary date a year later I did so and receive several emails from his family telling me how much that Bike meant to them. I have seen other cover-up jobs by people some politicians some not some elected officials some not it never appalls me how human beings can treat each other in this manner.! I tried to live as an example in trying to travel around hundreds or thousands of miles, placing ghost bikes for these families to let them know someone else fault enough of their loved one to leave a final ride for them to journey home on! People are donating often enough, but I always try to stretch the money as far as I can, but never taking money for my salary or time put in for this act of kindness. It will always remain straight from my heart and not about money!

Going to be printing a lot of a couple designs as I place 6-8 ghost bikes for fallen friends around Fla next weekend! Please comment the #’s 1-11, 1 is the car/gun, #2 is legal/dui etc, please list 3-4 designs you like most to least, thank you!

Back before most of you weren’t saying to much about our roads, and I had only done about 15 ghost bikes! BFA still pays ZERO to anyone for what we do, my heart sends me on these journeys to speak for those who no longer have a voice! 203 ghost bikes built and placed to date! They will be heard!!

The sad reality in my world is after I make a trip and start planning the next, I have to also finish adding the angels names to the wall of our canopy! It’s a daunting pair of walls with 200+ cyclists names I’ve been there for over 14 years!! I’ll try and have it for display on the next trip to Florida for 6-8 more angels I’ll place GBs for!

Just another Sunday morning for BFA, Personally sending prayers and condolences for all the families and friends of these five angels that I will travel many miles today to try to give them a small piece of mind and a final ride home! Godspeed, my angels I will see you soon and have plenty to chat about when I get there

I believe in the power of letting your work speak for itself! The things I’ve lived thru on this journey keeps me going in their honor! I’ve traveled to now 200 crash sites around the southeast, and my shirt today still is offensive to many! I don’t give a crap!! Operate your car within the laws that are there for everyone’s safety or don’t drive!!

As I I’m coming to a close on my “hold my Diet Coke walkabout“, I’ve seen many good friends and I hope to see them again sooner than later. I’ve also seen a couple of jaw dropping natural spectacles that prove to me once again that God is the creator.. I often get asked on this journey how does it feel to travel alone? to be honest 10 I have 197 fallen friends and travel with me every day no matter where I go!
