Oakville Little League Families,

You might have noticed the large piles of sand-clay down at the little league fields recently, and I want to share some exciting news about them!

Thanks to our successful flower basket fundraiser this Spring and our lemonade stand during the state softball tournament, we raised enough funds to purchase the correct sand-clay mixture for both fields and the materials were just delivered by Walrath.

As you know, when our new backstops went in, the field was stripped and a lot of our original dirt was removed during construction. The great news is that DJ Blake will be down at the fields this week to smooth everything out. Once that is done, those fields are going to look and feel brand new, and we will also be putting in all new bases for both fields!

We cannot thank everyone enough who believed in and supported our goals from the very start. From the batting cages to the new back stops and our concession stand remodel, now with the new field dirt. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication it took to get this far.

It was a massive team effort, and WE ALL DID IT!👏

A huge thank you to the incredible volunteer who stepped up to mowe our parking lot field! Thanks to your extra help and hard work, we were able to complete both of our fields. Field maintenance is always a big job, and having someone step in to handle that piece made a massive difference for everyone involved.
We truly cannot thank you enough for giving your time and energy to keep our Little League facilities looking great. Volunteers like you are what keep this program going, and your support means the world to our players, families, and board! ⚾️🥎

🥎🥎🥎This experience was truly unforgettable for OLL. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a role in making this week a success and are especially thankful to Larch Mountain Little League for providing this outstanding experience and giving OLL the opportunity to be apart of it. The girls' enthusiasm on the field was genuinely impressive!
Another shout out to the Grey Goat Bar & Grill for donating a $75 gift certificate for a dinner for two Thank you so much, Bob!!

As the 2026 Washington State Little League Softball Majors Tournament comes to a close, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this incredible week possible.

To our amazing volunteers—whether you worked in concessions, welcomed vendors, kept the official scorebook, ran the scoreboard, announced games, or stepped in wherever help was needed—thank you. Your time, dedication, and countless hours behind the scenes are what made this tournament such a success.

Thank you to every team, player, coach, family, and spectator who traveled to Oakville and made this week one to remember. The sportsmanship, friendships, and love for the game were on full display, and we are honored to have been a small part of your Little League journey.

A very special thank you goes to Lizzie Hart and Philip Youckton. Your leadership, commitment, and tireless work each and every day did not go unnoticed. This tournament simply would not have been possible without you.

We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the Chehalis Tribe for generously allowing us to use your beautiful facilities and for your continued support of youth sports and our communities.
Finally, thank you to our co-hosts at Oakville Little League and to every volunteer from Larch Mountain Little League. This tournament was a true example of what can happen when communities come together with a shared purpose.

Here's to an unforgettable week of softball, new friendships, lasting memories, and the countless volunteers who proved once again that Little League is so much more than just a game. ❤️🥎
