On July 5, Golfer and TaylorMade Golf Representative, Scott Bavaro, was taking his fairway shot on hole #3 of Lodestone Golf Course while a black bear casually watched in the background. Bavaro said, “Eagle putt and a black bear on the same hole, this was a first.” An abundance of wild life can be found on Lodestone Golf Course at Wisp Resort but we’ve had no reports of an albatross. Mountain golf courses usually can be a challenge to build because of the huge rocks that must be dealt with. Here we were stirring up #1 fairway trying to make a cut to expose the green. The area was eventually blasted to help blend the fwy to the green.
