Hellafecht: Tournament message

Tomorrow's the day for the Hellafecht tournament. We're organizing an informal tournament for all of you to gain more experience fighting, coaching and judging.

Three important points:

Be on time. Walk in is between 9 and 10, but we strongly recommend getting there before 9:30 to get geared up and move a bit. At 10 the tournament organization will start to set up poules, explain the rules and do the gear check.

Be open to learn and expand your tournament experience. We are inviting you to show your skill through sportsmanship, control and clean fencing.

To run the tournament, we need volunteers (coaches, table crew, judges). Even if you haven't judged before, you will assist our experienced referees by lending them your eyes.

To participate, don't forget your: padded fencing jacket, mask, back of the head protector, rigid neck protector/throat guard,groin guards, protection for elbows, fore-arms, knees and shins, hard gloves (no lacrosse). A chest protector is recommended. Your blade should be no longer than 135cm/54 inch, have a safe tip and be flexible.

We encourage the presence of coaches who can help you learn during your fights.

All of your international instructors are very excited to run and fight this tournament with you!
