On our final day of auditions for this year, we want to share our most recent show's dedication. Every year, we select a group of people to dedicate our show to, and this year, for the first time, we're dedicating it to one of our own dancer, Stefanie Chen our Co-Director, Lead Instructor, and all her family.
In the beginnings of BAICD, Stefanie and her family came up with the idea to have multiple #閩南古典舞 dances from different countries, which is where came from, and through that all of our unique shows. For two seasons, she's led our teaching programs, help building new independent Chinese dancers: and brought in family members into the company helping to translate our Land Acknowledgment into Taiwanese, as well as translating a recording a new Taiwanese cover to 春三月
We've dedicated "復興 What Makes Us Great Again?" to Stefanie and her family this year, in part because she's moving away this year to pursue very exciting professional opportunities. We wanted to make this show partly a celebration of the worlds, families, and love that Stefanie and her family have brought to our community. As our final trailer says, "as our artists grow, and tackle great opportunities all around the world, our hearts are with them, even if that means, we support them from afar"
