Back from vacation and back to regular hours! Wed, Fri, and Sat 10-6. That said, if you need a repair, please, please, pretty please call ahead. The bike shop is currently 22 deep with another half dozen inbound. 😀

Happy Pride Month! Ever look closely at the shop logo here on Facebook? It's been a subtle Pride logo for the past two years. There's a little rainbow stripe on Terry the T-Rex's back 😊 🌈

Wednesday, 10-6
Friday, 10-6
Saturday, 10-4

Quick note: Drop offs only starting this Saturday through next Saturday because I'll be away. The shop WILL be open (a few wonderful local teens are taking the helm!), but they won't be doing any repairs.

Okay, so the sun isn't real, but the shop is now in summertime hours! Wed, Fri, and Sat 10-6. Stop by, look at some great used bikes, and then go get some ice cream at Devler's. :)

All three of the bikes in the picture are under $600 and in amazing condition.

With ongoing tariffs, rising gas prices, and overall inflation, the executive committee of the Tiny Corner Bike Shop has officially decided we will no longer be selling bi-cycles because they're just too big and cost too much.

Instead, the shop will focus solely on UNICYCLES. Of course, the executive committee recognizes there is virtually no market for these and we'll almost certainly lose all our clientele, but unicycles are SO small, cost less to ship, are definitely kind of adorable, and we can fit way more of them in the shop. No, we don't know how to ride one, but who cares!

So out with the old and in with the new! The Tiny Corner Unicycle Shop will be open this Saturday from 10-6. A 10% discount for clowns, circus folk, and anyone else who can juggle and ride a unicycle at the same time.

I see rage bait articles like this all the time, but it does bring up an uncomfortable reality: If you're being treated like an idiot for not knowing what a bike part is or being shamed for not understanding the intricacies of your bike, then it's time to find a new bike shop. You aren't required to know the name of every bike part to be a cyclist, just as you aren't required to be an expert on combustion engines to drive a car. The number one thing I tell people is, "You don't have to apologize for not knowing."

And it's totally fine to say, "My bike's got a weird noise when I brake," or "My shifting doesn't work when I put it on the easiest gear." I'll figure out what needs done -- just as any good bike mechanic should.

Speaking of which, the shop will be open from 10-6 tomorrow. As always, all are welcome, no matter how much you know about bikes :)

Dear bike shops: stop treating customers like trash.

Y'all... It doesn't get much better than this. A warm sweet breeze and an open door in March. I'll be here until 6, but I'm going to step out from 2:30-4:00 for a quick spin before the rain comes.

Is it February? Is it April? What's this Winter Storm Watch all about? Who knows! It's Garrett County! But the bike shop will be open tomorrow from 10-6.

The shop will be open from 10-6 tomorrow during the Oakland WinterFest! It'll even be warm in there. Hopefully. :)

And if you bring in your bike for a tune up between now and March 15th, you'll save $15. Don't wait until the weather is warm to get your bike working -- that's the time to go riding!
