King ( #8), E'denchukwu ( #11), and Bagsby ( #10) Lead Golden Tigers in a Rout of the San Jose Knights for their 10th win in a row! Will play for the Division Championship Sunday vs #7 Silicon Valley Panthers and a birth in the ABA sweet 16 next week.
OAKLAND- What a performance by the California Golden Tigers Basketball Team. Many wondered if a team that had averaged 3 wins over the last 7 years could handle the spotlight of hosting a major professional event. Well, they responded big time.
The star of the Show was #10 DQ Bagsby who may be one of the clutch players I have ever seen. He asked me (Ivan Davis) are you nervous? I said, no (I was lying...ha ha). He told me he would not let me down. DQ only scored 40+ points by the 4th qtr. Only 5 fouls and a big lead kept him form getting 60 as he was unguardable.
Then there is the Law form of King and E'denchukwu. These two are the most dominant big men pair on the west coast as they average more than 25 points and 13 rebounds each! King is the power and E'denchukwu has crazy athletic ability. Lost in the DQ show was 31 points and 28 points by E'denchukwu and King respectively. E'denchukwu had 16 rebounds!
Silicon Valley Panthers Will be a handful. They are the best team on the west coast and the first team to sweep the 6 time NorCal champions Stockton Team Trouble. This will be a war for the ages as only 15 points between both games separate these two teams.
This ride is amazing, but we did not come this far to be satisfied. We came to win. Starting with the 7th best team in the country, it gets tough from here as the NorCal Championship and the Western Regional Championship awaits the winner.
