How many times have you told your kid…

“I shouldn’t have to keep telling you!” 😅

Every parent wants their child to become more responsible, focused, and disciplined.

But here’s something we’ve learned after years of working with kids:

Discipline doesn’t magically appear because a child gets older. It has to be practiced.

On the mat, we give kids opportunities to practice it over and over again.

🥋 Show up when you don’t feel like it.
🥋 Listen when someone else is speaking.
🥋 Keep trying when something is difficult.
🥋 Take care of your uniform and equipment.
🥋 Finish what you started.

At first, they need reminders.

Then one day… they start reminding themselves.

And THAT is the goal.

Because we’re not trying to raise kids who behave only when an adult is standing over them.

We want to help develop young people who have the discipline to make good choices when nobody is watching.

That lesson will take them a whole lot further than any kick or punch ever will. 👊

As parents, we all want our kids to be confident.

But we also want them to listen. Focus. Show respect. Handle disappointment. Get back up when something is hard.

And sometimes… telling them for the 47th time just isn’t cutting it. 😅

That’s one of the reasons I believe so deeply in what we do at Kimling’s.

Martial arts gives kids an environment where those lessons aren’t just talked about—they’re practiced.

They learn to walk onto the mat with confidence.

To look someone in the eye.

To follow directions.

To work toward something they can’t have instantly.

And slowly, those little lessons start becoming part of who they are.

Our goal has never been simply to create great martial artists.

We’re helping parents raise strong, confident, disciplined young people. 🥋❤️

And THAT is the real win.

🥋🎓 GRADUATION RECAP

The kids showed up and SHOWED OUT! 👏

There’s something special about watching our students earn that next belt.

We see the smiles and excitement on graduation day—but behind every new belt are the classes, the practice, the discipline, and those moments when they had to dig a little deeper and keep going.

That’s what our is all about. ❤️

Yes, we teach martial arts—but more importantly, we’re helping mold these young people into champions in life. Teaching them confidence.

Discipline.
Respect.
Perseverance.

And how to believe in themselves when something gets difficult.

We are incredibly proud of these kids, and we LOVE watching them grow—not only stronger in their bodies, but stronger in their minds and character.

Congratulations to all of our graduates!

Keep training, keep growing, and keep becoming the champion you were meant to be. 🏆❤️

IT’S GRADUATION DAY, K**A FAMILY! 🎉🥋

Today was the first day (of 2) our students get to show how far they’ve come!

Every class, every repetition, every correction, and every time they chose to keep going has been leading them forward. Now it’s time to LEVEL UP! 💪

Two weeks into the new school year… and we’re already making memories! 🥳👏

And just like that, summer camp is behind us! 🏃‍♀️🏃 What a summer it was—lots of laughs, lots of energy, and plenty of memories. Now we’re settling back into the school-year routine and watching our afterschool students get back to learning, training, growing, and having fun together.

🍎Summer Camp was a blast (as always!), and we're excited to welcome everyone back to our Afterschool Program, which begins Monday, August 10th.

• Pick-up is by 6:30 PM
• Snack cards are available at the front desk.
• Please have your child bring their martial arts uniform each day.
• If there have been any changes to your child's school, schedule, or transportation, please let the front desk know.
