RIP Bud Grant, a legend of the Loggers and Minnesota sports.

RIP Bud Grant, long time coach for the Minnesota Vikings. Bud was also an amazing athlete. He was a first round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL and a fourth round pick for the Minneapolis Lakers in the NBA. He was a three sport star at the University of Minnesota. And in the era of every town in the midwest having a baseball team, Bud pitched for a lot of them. He played for the Stillwater Loggers (photo in the comments) but also in the early 1950s, he played for Polk County's own Osceola Braves. Here he is pictured in uniform for Osceola. Loggers season comes to an end last night in St. Anthony. Matt McGinley with a solo 💣 and Jac Childs 4 solid innings in relief. Great season but a better bunch of guys to chop with every game. Bring on next season!

Loggers sweep the the series and move on to the next round. Loggers to play Skyline regular season champs St. Anthony Hogs starting this weekend. Winner of the 2 out 3 games move on to the Class A state tournament. All games to be played at St. Anthony High School. Times and Dates TBD.

Game today has been cancelled due to weather conditions. Game 2 will be played Monday 7:30 at Polar Lakes Park.
