With a heavy heart, today I am officially announcing my studio will be closing at the end of this month.

It has been a difficult decision, but I cannot let it overshadow the amazing people I have had the pleasure of working with the past few years. Owning my own business was not something I ever planned on doing, but what a blessing it was.

To my friends, family and everyone else who has supported me by sharing a post, asking questions or trusting me to work with you, thank you.

To my clients (both former and current), you guys were and are the heart of my studio. Thank you for the memories and for pushing me to always show up and give my best even on days I feel I could not; You allowed me to live my dream. Now it is time to step into the next one!

If there is one thing I ask, PLEASE support small businesses. Owning and operating a business is such a difficult thing to do, and it is only becoming more difficult as time continues. Share posts, cheer your friends and family on if they have their own businesses and spread the word about them! That is how they become successful.

🛑YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG🛑

Are you convinced that dieting for fat loss has to look like starving yourself? If so, you're wrong. Following a nutrition program for fat loss does not mean starving yourself. In fact, if doing it properly and following a few simple tips, you can do it while still enjoying the process. Here's how:

1) Ditch the Liquid Calories! 

✨️Does your morning start with hitting a drive thru for coffee? Depending on the choices you make, this could easily one of the biggest culprits for excess calories in your nutrition program. Or maybe you are someone who HAS to have some carbonation in their day. By making some small changes, you can easily save yourself several hundred calories a day!

2) Eat For Volume!

✨️ By switching out a few food sources or making some slightly different choices, you can eat much more for much less of a dent in your daily calories & macros! Pay attention and compare nutrition labels of the products you buy. This is much easier to implement than you'd think!

3) Opt For Lower Cal Condiments, Sauces and Dressings!

✨️One word is forever paired with a diet: salad. But what if your salad actually contains more calories than a burger? Depending on the dressing and portion you put on, it very well could! Opt for lower calorie, cleaner ingredient versions of your favorite sauces and dressings! Similar to the calories you may drink, the condiments you use could be causing your calorie intake to skyrocket as well! Worst part is you won't feel that way because they are not filling you up while doing it!

"Failure to prepare is preparing to fail."

Monday morning can be hectic for everyone. The weekend has just ended and "reality" is back in full swing. Ready to hit the ground running this week? Use my Sunday checklist (and add some of your own items too) to make sure the start of your week is something you're prepared for!

Sunday checklist:

-Check your calendar and make note of any meetings/appointments that you have

-Check the weather forecast for the week and make note of it. This will help you with the next item below!

-Lay out your clothes for the next day TONIGHT. Doing simple things like this saves you tons of time and stress in the morning (especially if you're running late)!

-Have meals/snacks ready to grab and go for your morning. The biggest issue people have is time management and lack of being prepared. This will ensure you are staying on track with your nutrition and not using it as an excuse to fall off the program during your week!

-Structure your free time this week TOWARDS your fitness goals, not away from them. When can you get walks in? Meal prep? Workouts?Adequate sleep?

-Complete any chores as early as possible (includes meal prepping, laundry, cleaning, etc.) This way you are allowing yourself to have the rest of the day to yourself and you can relax and unwind!

-Have a daily or weekly to do list or goal list. These lists can be fitness, finance, work or non-work related goals! Meeting smaller goals will help you become more confident in setting greater goals for yourself and proving you are capable! 💪

-Last (and possibly most important) is reminding yourself WHY you are setting the goals you have for yourself. If your goals do not mean anything to you or if you have lost your reason for reaching them, you will lose the discipline required to reach them. Remind yourself what it is you want and why it is so important to you.
