The more I work with artificial intelligence within the autonomous vehicle field I'm recognizing the complexity with artificial intelligence and its capabilities or lack thereof.

In 2020, I propped my phone against the bleachers at a track, pressed record, and shared an idea I've held onto since waking up and being told I'd never run again.

At the time, I had just enough gratitude to go run.

No book.

No clear plan.

Just a belief that life transforms us, and that every one of us is facing odds no one else can fully see.

Looking back, I realize this video was one of the many seeds sown that eventually became The Night They Said I Had and the philosophy I still live by today:

Defy the Odds.

Not because our stories are the same.

But because every one of us is trying to overcome something.

I'm sharing this exactly as I recorded it six years ago.

It's imperfect.

Just like the journey still is.

Is it pressure…
Or is it precision?

The best thing about life…
there is always another obstacle to overcome.

The gym proves that.
You never “arrive”… you refine.

The body is never finished.
The mind is never complete.
The soul is never fully purified…
only maintained through experience.

What we call problems… are actually proof we’re still in the game.

Don’t celebrate the struggle…
Celebrate the opportunity to grow.

When is the time we look inwardly. If it wasnt Bush, then it was Obama if it wasn't Obama, it was trump now Biden. If it wasn't the blue its the red or if its not its China fault.

Defy the odds for one self is what this page shares. People overcoming cancer,perhaps drug addiction, depression, being told you'll,never walk again and doing so or maybe even for the guy that was raised fatherless and grew up to be a wonderful father himself. Breaking trends defying odds and sharing our victories over them.
