🔪WE’RE BRINGING THE BLADES HOME. 🔪
This Saturday...Knives on Whidbey is rolling into the Blue Fox Drive-In for the FINAL DAY of their summer event — and this time, we don’t have to leave the island to find you.
We spend a lot of our time loading up the truck and heading off Whidbey, bringing our handmade blades to communities all over the place.
But this weekend?
WE’RE HOME.
Come find us at the Blue Fox alongside some seriously incredible vendors and makers for one hell of a Saturday.
⚒️ 9 AM – 3 PM ONLY ⚒️
Handmade steel. One-of-a-kind blades. Island craftsmanship.
No two pieces exactly alike — and every one made with a whole lot of fire, sweat, and pride.
Come wander the vendors. Meet the makers. Check out the blades. Grab yourself something badass.
And most importantly…
Come support the people who make cool s**t right here on Whidbey Island.

Lately, Iv'e been head down in the shop… sparks flying, steel heating, handles shaping, and new blades coming to life. We’ve been crazy busy finishing up fresh pieces and preparing for one of our biggest events of the year—and wow, it did not disappoint.
Recently, we headed to Packwood, Washington for the biggest flea market in the state…it was an incredible event.
Over 400 vendors lined the streets, bringing everything from handmade goods to vintage treasures. The energy was unreal, the people were amazing, and let’s be honest… the food alone was worth the trip. 🌭
There’s something special about being surrounded by makers, creators, and hardworking small business owners all chasing the same dream.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, checked out our blades, shared stories, and supported Knives on Whidbey. Your support means more than you know.
Back to the forge now… we’ve got more steel to shape. 👊 Conrad Useman

Built by hand. Made to last.

Out here, your tools matter. Every knife I make—whether forged in fire or shaped from solid stock—is crafted to handle real work, real adventure, and real life. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just honest blades built to perform and built to last.

Each knife carries a bit of grit, sweat, and pride—made one at a time, right here by my hands. Whether you’re in the woods, on the water, or working the land, you deserve a blade that won’t let you down.

This isn’t factory work—it’s craftsmanship born from the fire, for folks who know what that means.

About the Maker

Knives on Whidbey was born & created here on Whidbey Island — built from a love of working with my hands and a respect for tools that earn their keep. What started several years ago as a small island hobby has grown into a passion for crafting dependable, hard-use knives that blend function, grit, and craftsmanship together.

Each knife is shaped with care, patience, and purpose — forged and finished by hand, one at a time. No mass production, no rush — just honest work and a commitment to making blades that feel right in your hand and stand up to whatever you put them through.

Out here, life’s a little slower, the air’s a little saltier, and good tools still matter. That’s the spirit behind every knife I make at Knives on Whidbey.

Real work. Real steel. Real knives.

Island roots. Rugged steel. Real craftsmanship.

Wow, it has been a busy last few months here at the forge. We have created a few new pieces that are ready for their new home.
We buy some of our supplies through . They had a cool contest that was posted on April 17th...The Kephart knife Pops build. The drawing date was July 4th. I entered my Kephart on June 30th. I took third place amongst many other incredible contenders. I feel proud to have placed in the top three. This was a fun challenge & a fun build. I created my blade from 5/32 thick 1095 steel with a carbon fiber handle that I made with orange liners and brass pins.
