I am headed to Omaha, Nebraska today to compete in the State Games of America. I want to address the club as follows: if you know my sports background you know that I am passionate about baseball. I was blessed to have had an extended career as a player and now as a coach. I am equally passionate about disc golf. It has long been my vision to install a course in the park and introduce the game to the local residents of all ages and genders and to grow a disc golf club or clubs. Now that this vision has come to fruition, my vision has been broadened. I now see Oak Grove, West Carroll and The Tiger Bayou DGC developing into a competative force to be reakoned with for years to come. As this my athletic ability dwindles with age, my reward and satisfaction now come from watching you grow and improve as players. I am so proud of you guys and gals for your commitment to the game and to the club. ALL OF YOU, whether you attend tournaments or just attend the minis only. As I head to Omaha I'm glad for the opportunity for myself, as a blessing. I go to represent Louisiana and will do so to the best of my ability. But most of all I go, proud, honored, to represent West Carroll,Tiger Bayou Disc Golf Club and you, it's members.

I am headed to Omaha Wednesday. As this old fart's athletic ability dwindles with age, my reward and satisfaction now come from watching you grow and improve as players. We had a great turnout at the Battle on the Bayou Saturday held in the Oak Grove park and The Hills disc golf course. Had 40 players in 6 divisions. So many roses to hand out I may have to call FTD. Walter Adams and his crew for getting The Hills ready for play. Justin Rennhack, Zac Merghart, and Gayla Ross for too many things to list. And all the Tiger Bayou members who worked so hard. Thanks to our sponsors and contributors:
Tiger Stop. Jessies. Old Hardware Fish House. Johnny's Pizza. Lighthouse Graphics. Cloud 9. Monica Stewart/LSU Extension Office. And an above and beyond thanks to Shawn Weise. There are no words to express my/our gratitude for what he did yesterday. We had at least 7 disc golf clubs from 3 states represented, so thanks to all. Hope everyone enjoyed the courses and a day of fellowship, fun and competition.
