We love to see children who are interested in fishing and the outdoors! This was a great opportunity & I’m honored to have been asked to come speak with these kids! It’s never too early to plan for your future! 🎣
Last week, a couple of our 5th grade boys shared an interest in competition fishing. Because of their initiative, we were able to connect with Mr. Dakota Fleming, who fishes at a professional competition level, to come speak with our interested 5th graders.
Mr. Fleming shared what it’s like to fish competitively and talked with students about the opportunities available to them, including scholarships connected to competitive fishing through schools. Our students asked great questions and were fully engaged the entire time.
We will also be gathering and sharing some information with families about opportunities available for students who may be interested in getting involved in competitive fishing outside of school this year.
We are so thankful to Mr. Fleming for taking time out of his schedule to invest in our students, and we are proud of our kiddos for speaking up about their interests and exploring what’s possible for their future.
