Last Saturday, April 18th, 2026 the GFP put on a Hunters Safety Course and were able to shoot at the Chamberlain/Oacoma Gun Club! We love seeing the new generation shooting!!

The Mitchell Gun Club was recently faced with the decision to buy 9.7 acres, or lose access to two of our trap fields on the east end. As this would have serious impications to the club's ability to host the State Trap Shoot, the State 4-H Trap, S***t & 5-Stand Shoot and local league shooting. WIth this in mind the decision was made to buy these acres at a cost of $116,000. And with that decision presents the challenge of paying for this aquisition. The club is currently asking for financial and other donations to help with this purchase. One such donation is the new Perazzi MX2000/3-SC3 RS combo shotgun shown below. This gun had a price tag of $39,587. The club will be selling a total of 350 raffle tickets at $100 each. If you are interested in buying a ticket, you cna contact Austin McPeek at Palace City Pawn or give our club manager, Jerry Opbroek a call for a ticket or a book pf ticlets. Chamberlain Oacoma Gun Club in partnership with our local Missouri River Central Chapter of Pheasants Forever are having an open shoot this Saturday October 11th from 4 tell 10 pm. 5 stand range is open at 5pm along with traditional trap from 4 until 5. After dark we will turn on the lights and 5 stand trailer and/or blacklights. 10 dollars a round
Pheasants Forever members bring proof of membership and get a 50% discount!

We are going to have the 5 stand open this coming Saturday the 27th starting at 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Come on over and shoot a round!! After 5 stand closes we will turn on the lights for ether cosmic clays or white clays under the big lights. We are still working on a few things for the cosmic clays, if that's not sorted out by then we will do the white clays under big lights which will be ran as a 5 stand format.
Cost for both events is $10.00 a round of 25.
