fat loss. The format is 3 days of circuit/station training and 3 days of strength training with focus on proper squat, & deadlift techniques. The classes are programmed workouts like personal training but adapted for group classes. Sunday’s are body weight workouts. There is always at least one trainer on the floor during Bootcamps leading, instructing, monitoring and correcting form as well as motivating and challenging progression. Modifications are available for any situation. We have a 7 day trial for $25 which is a great way to see if we are what you are looking for. My favorite type of core exercises are the ones with the ability to load..

Progressive overload is one of the most consistently supported principles in strength training and applies to the core just like any other muscle group.

Nobody would expect their squat to keep improving by doing bodyweight squats forever. The core is no different. At some point, resistance has to increase if strength is the goal.

This “dig and chop” exercise has potential to help increase your strength across the board, give it a shot 💪

As a trainer I’m often asked the same question by multiple people but rarely is the answer the same for each individual. There are often way too many variables involved for this not to be the case.. I learned from a mentor very early on that most of my answers should start with “IT DEPENDS”

Performance goals make training fun!

Changing your physique takes months and can make you feel like you are spinning your wheels..

We take a different approach… we help people choose performance goals in the gym that eventually lead to changes in their physique..

Getting stronger and improving the skill of the lift happens much faster and can sometimes be as fast as session to session…

We have found that when people focus on their performance they worry less about the scale and as the achieve better performance they eventually notice the change in their physique without ever focusing on it!!

Pick a lift or 2 and get stronger! The aesthetics will come soon enough 😎

Here’s an exercise we are
experimenting with in our current strength program.

There are more effective ways to row and build upper back strength and muscle and we use them quite regularly in our programming..

Novelty exercises like this has their place in programming because they excite people..

Realistically we could use the same 10-15 exercises year in and year out, but many could get bored and their compliance would suffer..

My job is to get you results and part of that process is keeping you interested and having fun.. novelty exercises like this do exactly that..

If you give this is a shot, let us know what you think in the comments 😊

Whether you are a novice or an expert, a good coach can find a way to increase your effectiveness..

As a coach myself, I’ve hired many experts to help me be a better coach and lifter.. if I listened to my ego, I would believe myself to know everything I need to know and that is clearly not the case..

Accepting tutelage has made me a better coach just like it would make you a more effective lifter… don’t be your own obstacle, try a coach on for size and see what happens..

Maybe in a different post we can expand upon how to look for a good coach 👀

There is a time and a place for balance training but if the goal of the exercise is to build muscle it can make it much more efficient when adding stability… we’ve done that here by holding onto the fence for support so that we can really challenge the movement pattern with some weight..

Your lower back needs to be trained just like the rest of your muscles..

The same rules apply… start slow and progressively lift more..

Strengthening the lower back will not only improve all of your other lifts but can also make you resilient to injuries.
