What an amazing performance by Arrowhead CC to roar back into the playoff contention!!

Facing an unbeaten LionBlood Cricket Club in a must win game, Arrowheads won the toss and decided to bowl first and what a decision that turned out to be!

A vicious opening 2 wicket opening burst from Vivek Jaswal set the tone for what was to come pinning LB 3 down in the power play, thanks in part to an amazing display of sportsmanship by LB’s captain Ravikumar Chokalingam who walked off even as the umpire declined the appeal for a caught behind! Massive respect!

After that the smiling assassin Akashdeep Singh took over with 4 wickets to bundle out LB for 84, thanks largely to a valiant 27 by Zaveed Shaikh putting on a 26 run 10th wicket partnership.

Akashdeep was ably supported by Arrowhead captain Nishant (3 wickets) as well as Vinn Win Vinay and Rupesh who all chipped in with crucial wickets.

Although the target was a mere 85, the chase was far from over. LB struck twice in the first 2 overs to reduce Arrowheads to 2 for 1 run.

At that point the ever reliable Ross Klusener decided to play the best inning of the match and steered the team home with a classy 32 not out, well supported by Nishant (26) and Sonpreet (22 NO).

With the win, Arrowheads now jump to 10 points and looking forward to the next game against Springfield CC. On to the next one boys!

Great All-round performance by MVP of the game Vivek Jaswal to kick off the ACAC T20 campaign for Arrowhead Cricket Club!

Batting first against a very spirited Slayers team, Vivek came in at the fall of 4 quick wickets in succession and took over the game with a brutal knock of 52 runs in only 23 balls. He was ably supported by Vinay Chandaluri, who scored an equally brilliant 46 runs in 25 balls! Both batters remained not out.

In the field, Vivek snapped up 3 really good catches and capped the day with 1 wicket!
