Our numbers are IN!

Thanks to all of you the Owyhee Riding Club will be writing a check to the fine men and women at the Nyssa PD for $2,500 to go towards Shop with a Cop! SO many local families are going to be impacted this holiday season by YOUR contribution to this amazing cause.

We had 202 runs cross our eyes yesterday 🤩 we know there are a few folks that had to leave early and chose to donate their entry-- those ARE included! We also had some donations made at the office window. You all are incredible! Results will be posted in just a few!

(Also I do believe in full transparency, when I was putting together our estimate yesterday I was counting runs on my phone from the tractor seat and thought we were over the $2,500 mark. It looks like I counted the 8-12 group twice! I was excited to get an estimated number out and was a little over but ORC will get that number to an even $2,500. Full event donation cashed in at $2,345)

The dust has settled on our 2026 season 🌻

There are a lot of words we can use to describe the Back the Blue Playday. FULL, busy, fast (chaos? 🤪)

But truly, thank YOU everyone who came out to run today. All of us board members on the Owyhee Riding Club are 100% volunteer. We do what we do for the community because we truly believe that we are here to give back. We had a WAY bigger turn out than we anticipated (which is fantastic!) and were running a few board members short today so thank you for all the patience.

Real rough numbers for our donation (ran out of fingers to count on 🙃) we will be donating close to $2,500 (edited on 10-26, be nice to me my brain was moving slow and I was counting manually from the tractor yesterday to get a rough number, we are just shy of $2,500 at $2,345 from the event itself, but I believe in transparency and we will round that number up!) to our local Shop with a Cop! When I have a few more brain cells back in my brain we will get final numbers tallied up.

Buckle winners, I have verified spelling with everyone and we will get those going tomorrow! Super excited to be able to get these into your hands 🙂

ORC members, see you at the banquet! Saturday November 14
