Today I had one of those moments that reminds me exactly why we do what we do.

I was invited to visit one of our 5150 Jiu Jitsu students at her elementary school to listen to an essay she wrote about someone who inspires her to be great in everything she does. To my surprise and honor, she chose me.

As I sat there listening to her read her report, I was overwhelmed with emotion and brought to tears of joy. Hearing the impact that our academy and our relationship has had on her life was something I will never forget.

People often tell us that we inspire our students, but the truth is, our students inspire us far more than they know. Their courage, dedication, kindness, and determination remind us every day why teaching martial arts is so much more than techniques and belts.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. Moments like this are priceless and will stay with me forever.

A huge thank you to Prof David Adiv and Prof Angelica Oliviera for an incredible seminar this weekend! Your knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for Jiu Jitsu gave all of us valuable tips to improve our Jiu Jitsu training.

As the saying goes, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” We are grateful to have had such an outstanding teacher.

A special thank you to all of our dedicated students who showed up ready to learn, train, and grow. Your commitment, positive attitudes, and hard work are what make 5150 Jiu Jitsu Academy the hottest Jiu Jitsu academy around town. We are proud of what we’re building together and excited for what’s ahead!

We’d also like to thank all of the classmates who came out to support and help during promotions. Your willingness to encourage your teammates and help them earn their next rank showed outstanding teamwork, friendship, and academy spirit.
