Double Gold 🥇🥇 at NAGA Boston

4-0 on the day with 3 submission wins

I came out on top in the Expert 170lb NoGi bracket, winning my first match 8-0 and then taking the finals with a quick RNC submission victory.

In the Black Belt 170lb Gi division, I proved my skills by submitting two Brown belts, one with an Armbar and the other with a Legs Kimura.

Just crowned the new Welterweight Champion for

After competing in an 8-man tournament, I came out on top, winning all 3 matches. 1st round was a unanimous decision with dominant positional control and submission attempts. Semifinals saw me securing a 3rd-round RNC victory. The finals were intense, but I took it home with a split decision in a back-and-forth battle.

Took home the win in the NoGi Advanced 170lb bracket, submitting two of my opponents. 5 overall wins.

Finished the year with 51 wins and 36 submissions.

Pro tip: avoid eating tacos and drinking beer for two weeks down in Mexico before competing
