We had an amazing start to the season! Thank you to everyone who came out for the Awakening the Dragon Ceremony. It was a beautiful day.
Also thank you to John and Kurt for getting and setting up these two new picnic tables!

Our Free community Paddles are on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:30pm! Come and join us!

Our last practice before we leave for 2 weeks in Ireland… everyone chipped in to surprise teammate Bri and her new baby with a few gifts! We leave the team in the capable hands of Dawn & Kurt… Paddles up!

Practices for the Dirigo Dragons are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm.

The Dirigo Dragons have commenced practices for the 2026 season! 
A couple of great practices this week and a well attended informational meeting with three newbies showing up for practice on Thursday…and Bri’s baby girl there to put smiles on all our faces! Fabulous first week.

Join the Dirigo Dragons for the 2026 Season! 🐉
The Maine Dragon Boat Club’s competition team, the Dirigo Dragons, is excited to launch our 2026 season on June 2nd!
Practices begin in early June on the beautiful waters of Lake Pennesseewassee and are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 PM. Whether you're an experienced paddler or have never stepped into a dragon boat before, we welcome you to come and see what this exciting sport is all about.
If you're new to dragon boating, we encourage you to try one of our free community paddles, held at 5:00 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It's a fun, relaxed way to get on the water, meet team members, and experience the sport firsthand.
We also invite you to join us for an Informational Meeting on June 3rd at 5:30 PM at the Norway Library. Meet our paddlers, learn about the sport, hear stories from team members, and discover how dragon boating brings together fitness, teamwork, friendship, and fun. Over the past two seasons, we've built a supportive and welcoming community, and we'd love for you to become a part of it.
Come paddle with us and see where the adventure leads!

The Maine Dragon Boat Club would like to invite you to our Awakening the Dragon Ceremony on Sunday, May 31st at 4pm. It will be held at 61 Lake rd in Norway on the great Lawn. This ceremony represents the first time the dragon "sees the water" for the start of our season. Free community paddles will start on Wednesday June 3rd!
