Lifeguard & Staff Appreciation Day (July 31)

Our Norton Aquatic Center staff spends the summer telling everyone else not to run, so for Staff Appreciation Day, we let them slow down and enjoy a party of their own!

We celebrated our incredible team with a night of swimming under the lights, walking tacos, homemade ice cream, and enough homemade sweet treats to make all those hours in the lifeguard chair totally worth it. After all, saving lives and keeping the pool running smoothly works up an appetite!

We can’t thank our staff enough for their dedication, positive attitudes, and hard work this summer. You’ve truly made a splash!

*A special shoutout to the parents who provided all the delicious food and to Stuart Brooks for making the homemade ice cream.....which disappeared almost as quickly as a kid running after hearing, “Walk, please!” 😄. -Thank you for making the evening so special!

Congratulations to Payton, our Lifeguard of the Week!

Payton has perfected the lifeguard essentials: staying alert, keeping everyone safe, and somehow always being exactly where she’s needed. Whether it’s reminding kids to walk, blowing the whistle with perfect timing, or surviving another day in the summer heat, Payton handles it all with a smile.

Fun fact: Payton has officially earned the title of “Most Likely to Say ‘Walk, Please!’ 100 Times a Day”—and somehow still sound nice doing it.

Thanks for your hard work, positive attitude, and dedication to keeping the pool safe. We appreciate everything you do!
