Cruz Beckstrom is headed to Pebble Beach to compete in the 2026 PURE Insurance Championship! 🏌️‍♂️🌊

This September, Cruz will be paired with a PGA TOUR professional and compete alongside other First Tee teens from chapters across the country at the PURE Insurance Championship.

This incredible opportunity will give Cruz the chance to gain mentorship, build connections, and make memories that will last a lifetime. From September 18–20, he’ll represent First Tee – West Michigan on a national stage at Pebble Beach!

We’re so proud of you, Cruz, and can’t wait to cheer you on! ⛳️

Day 2 results are in. Avery Nehra fired a 89 on a very difficult Betsy Valley course. Her two day total earned her 4th place overall. The Sailors as a team finished respectively 10th out of 18 teams.

Day 2 is underway. The Sailors were led by senior Avery Nehra firing a 80 while carding the second best score of day. The ladies sit in 8th place out of 17 teams.

The Lady Sailors are out competing on this beautiful morning of the fall sports opener. Even had a visit from a future player.

Ladies, tomorrow is the start of season 2026. We are extremely excited about this year. The weather as of now, shows everything moving out around 4:00 am. We are still planning on our 7:30 time at Oakridge. Make sure to pack rain gear and an umbrella just in case. We will give out rain gear later this week. Make sure all your boxes are checked off on final forms. We will see you all in the morning.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will make a change in the morning and be in the golf room at the high school. Stay tuned.

Attention: Any ladies interested in playing golf in the fall for the Sailors needs to be at the high school media center next week June 9th Tuesday at 6:00 pm. This meeting will take no more than 30 minutes. We will also have gear for sale. Donations for the gear is appreciated. See you all there :)

Mona Shores finished 4th as a team today at GMAAs at Chase Hammond shooting their best team 18 hole round of the year. Leading the Sailors was Avery Nehra who finished 2nd overall and Evie Lucas who shot a personal lifetime best to secure 10th overall!
