Mr Roman Porter earned his junior black belt level 1 on Wednesday this week. He began karate at Rock Quarry after school program about 4 years ago. He is a great athlete with a humble attitude. We are very proud of this accomplishment!

Congratulations to Henry Hicks on his promotion to Junior Black Belt Lv II. This is an award for under 16 year olds who have earned their junior black belt and continued their training for at least an additional year while also developing their own musical Kata, submitting 2 community references on their citizenship as well as completing another black belt test. He performed very well last night! Great job Henry! He will be sporting the awesome red uniform reserved for 2nd level junior black belts!

Okinawan Kobudo sparring tonight with the adults. Kobudo stands for the ancient Okinawan weapons fighting styles of nunchucks, bo, tonfa and sai. We also practice escrima which is a form of stock/sword fighting. Come by to check out the fun of a new hobby!
