Some more dog collars up on the site now. Yapping to be found ahead:
These ones are kind of a big deal. These are the first Wellsmade products to be printed in house.
I've been steering this ship for 5 years now and at no point have I had a problem more sustained and miserable to deal with than sourcing my webbing. I design my art and I sew our products, but the webbing has always left me at the mercy of some other company staffed by 9-5ers who don't care if I can make my products or not. I have received webbing from these companies you wouldn't believe. Gopnik that runs completely off the side of the webbing, cherry blossoms with a background that's electric blue, Splat with a purple background, and none of this is to mention the stuff that's delivered covered in grease and loose ink.
So, in February, I bought two gigantic machines to try to print this stuff in-house.
These machines are flat out hilariously expensive. There's a reason there are about 3 companies sublimating webbing in the US. (Well, four now.) These presses, from what I have been able to gather, basically don't exist and there's zero information available on how to run them. It seems like anyone who does have one of these things doesn't have much interest in letting anyone know they have it or how to use one.
So it's been 2 months of abuse at the hands of these two machines to be able to produce what feels to me to be the culmination of half a decade of commitment to this company.
There aren't a lot of these collars, and I'll make more just like them moving forward, but these ones up on the site now mean a lot to me.
I also think they look sick.
