Setting the Standard for Excellence:

Drill Company was responsible for retraining the Company Guidons in flag drill, ensuring each cadet was prepared to confidently and precisely carry their company’s colors. Training focused on the fundamentals of flag handling, proper movements, and the attention to detail required when representing their company.

Through repetition and hands-on instruction, the Guidons strengthened their proficiency and prepared to uphold the standard expected of them throughout the academic year.

Day 5 of FTX Week

The Prospects closed out FTX Week with a fun morning of PT with Tab Holders before preparing for their final performance. They then cleaned and prepared their rifles, ensuring they learned proper rifle maintenance and were ready to perform

The Prospects then took to the drill pad, showcasing the skills they developed throughout the week through both Regulation and Exhibition drill. Their hard work, discipline, and teamwork were on full display.

To close out the week, the Prospects were recognized with awards for their outstanding effort and dedication throughout FTX Week.

A strong finish to a week of hard work, growth, and preparation. Congratulations to all of our Prospects! 🫡

Day 4 of FTX Week 🫡

The Prospects continued their training with a focus on Armed Regulation routines, developing their precision, discipline, and proficiency with the rifle.

Later in the day, the Prospects split into three groups, each tasked with creating and developing their own exhibition routine. With creativity, teamwork, and drill knowledge on display, each group worked to build a routine from the ground up.

Throughout the day, the Training Staff remained alongside the Prospects, providing guidance and instruction whenever needed as they worked to refine their routines and push their abilities further.

Another day of learning, teamwork, and preparation in the books. 💪

Day 3 of FTX Week 🥾

The Prospects began their day with a hike up Paine Mountain, challenging themselves physically while also having the chance to meet more tab holders on the hill. During their time there, they had the opportunity to ask our tab holders questions about drill, the company, and Rookdom.

The rest of the day was dedicated to building the essential skills required for success. The Prospects honed their ability to articulate themselves effectively and project their voices through a command voice presentation and practical. Following that, they had time for exhibition drill practice and began creating routines to demonstrate at the conclusion of the week.

Another day of hard work, discipline, and preparation in the books. 💪

Day 1 of FTX Week:

First 24 hours are complete.

The day consisted of morning PT, followed by hygiene and chow. After chow they were introduced to Drill Company Training Staff.

The first day of their training consisted of basic drill manual, Norwich customs and courtesies, and briefs regarding the various opportunities that drill company provides.

After months of training and practice, sent 6 cadets to compete at World Drill Championship’s from May 1st through 4th.

A Huge Congratulations to Cadets Wang and Torres for taking home the third place trophy for the Tandem Event, Good Work Boys! Fierce Pride!
