Making Waves Swim School in Northfield is accepting registrations beginning on December 9, 2025, for our 10-week WINTER Session 2026, which runs from January 4-March 22, 2026. Making Waves was founded by Cindy Boyum and Bob Hauck and offers a three-season lesson program serving kids (ages 3-10+) Our staff is made up of talented young adults who are swimmers/swim instructors from St. Olaf College. Parents enjoy on-deck seating during their child’s 30-minute swim lesson in a 90-degree warm water facility. With small class sizes and an innovative one-of-a-kind curriculum, we have successfully taught over 50,000 lessons since 2002. We start with water safety skills and offer a creative, sequential curriculum that develops all four swimming strokes. Please join us as we continue to offer our homegrown school-year program to the Northfield community and beyond! Lessons are offered at the FiftyNorth pool, weekly on Sundays!

We offer discounts for 3+ children! For the 3rd child, families receive two dollars off per lesson, 4th child receives four dollars off per lesson, and 5th child receives six dollars off per lesson. The registration form will automatically calculate your discounts!

We just received information that the pump at FiftyNorth is broken. We will not be able to host swim lessons tomorrow, May, 12, 2024.

We will reschedule our final lesson day for Sunday, May 19, 2024. Sorry for this inconvenience and thank you for understanding!
