What else can I say but "well s**t".. Thunder Road International Speedbowl hosted the Pro-4 Modifieds for the labor day classic yesterday. We wanted to have a good day in front of our home crowd and I would say we accomplished half of that.

03vt driven by Ryan McPartland was fast and consistent right out if the trailer and managed a 7th place finish out of 18 cars that made the day. Amazing handling but laking on power we will dig in and find that issue. Great job and as always thanks you for the hard work and help.

24vt, well that's a different and long story. Car felt strange on the track in 1st practice and it didnt take long before the trailing arm bracket decided it was too tired to continue. Thanks to JDS Motorsports for their welder and we got it fixed back up. 2nd and 3rd practices we addressed some loose handling issues and some carburetor issues and got ready for the heat. By the end of lap 2 I was in 1st and by the end of lap 3 something else decided it was tired and the car just shut down. So the new car gremlins are still in there but were chasing them out one by one.

We couldn't participate in this awesome sport if we didnt have the support of our families and friends, Chris Ashford, Annie McPartland , Jared Ashford , Tyler Langley , Sophia Ashford and our sponsors for the weekend Good Measure Pub & Brewery and Baroffios Garage

Enjoying a Good Measure Pub & Brewery Riser after putting the work in on the 24vt Pro-4 Modifieds for the race at Thunder Road International Speedbowl this Sunday! Good Measure is a tire sponsor again and we hope to get them into victory lane again!

After having a really good positive day at monadnock Saturday we learned that the motor in the 24vt is hurt beyond repair. And Sophia will be traveling to Tennessee for school soon.

To say im gutted about the 24 is an understatement. We have all worked so incredibly hard to get that car going from an idea to build one all the way to get in it and go out and have incredible speed just to have it all fall apart around us.

7/12/25 at Monadnock Speedway was a hot one for sure. We unloaded the 24vt with some suprising speed and the 03vt chasing handling issues.

The week leading up was a busy one with a last minute rebuild of the motor in the 24vt which would not have been possible without the help of our newest team mate and mechanic Jared Ashford see the picture below of him torquing rod bolts! And finding and fixing a leak on the rear end of the 03vt.

Sophia Ashford struggled to find speed through the day but with her always managing to avoid trouble and Ryan McPartland making adjustments and coaching, they managed to gain a little each time out and finished a respectable 10th out of 21 cars that made the trip.

Benjamin Ashford was fast in the first feature laps for the home built pro 4. While we are still working bugs out, which includes a new battery (as its older than the chassis its in) which went dead on lap 17 of the feature and ended the race. We will take a 3rd fastest on the speed charts as a very nice end to a hot day.

Again big thanks to Chris Ashford for making sure we had snacks and cold drinks on the day and helping out with club duties as usual.

Next race is at Star Speedway on Saturday 7/19/25

Team loaded the 24vt car and headed to Claremont Motorsports Park for the season opener with the Pro Four Modifieds of New England Racing Series Pro-4 Modifieds. Arrived a little late and rushed to get on the track for the first practice which never goes well. Had a loose clamp on a water line end that before we got going.

With the help of JDS Motorsports we found the hose we needed to get it back together and after a lengthy rain delay we were out for practice 2. Car preformed just like it did after the season finale on 2024 and felt really good on old tires. No heats due to weather meant we had to run the old tires in the feature as we didnt out any on in the final practice.

Feature race was a good one. Was able to keep up with the pack and make some passes, even on 3 race old tires and the left front was 10 races old.

Ryan McPartland can set the car up just like it needs. As always thanks for spotting and wrenching for me. Thank you for the help on the day goes to Tyler Langley and Hudson Maxham.

Next race is waterford speedbowl on 5/3 for the 24vt and the season debut for the 03vt and Sophia Ashford.

As always big thanks to our sponsors........ oh wait... you might notice my picture does not have a watermark. Because I bought it and supported the hard work that Emily Miller does capturing all our memories.
