To say I am proud to be a part of this team isn't enough. It's hard to find four people to go away with for the weekend for a fun bonspiel, but to find 4 people (plus some spouses) to go away for a week of competitive curling, have fun, play well, and learn a lot is more than I could have ever imagined.
This quote was hanging up at the club all week, and it is so true, I wouldn't want to be "part of the process" with anyone else!
We stuck together, and just like the beautiful scarves that Laurie made us, we are now more knit together than we were before we left.
I'm proud of how we continue to keep our heads high, even when we come up short. We keep battling back. We've proved that we're never really out of it, if we continue to play our game, stick together, and always say "I love you, you've got this".
I used our down time this week to do some yoga. The quote that stood out the most was, "There are no throw away moments in life." I/We learned so much this week, both about curling, life, and overcoming adversity.
"There are two ways you can get through the pain. You can let it destroy you, or you can use it as fuel to drive you: to dream bigger, work harder."
You can bet we'll be back, to fight harder, to dig deeper, to keep learning.
Thank YOU, our fans, our SUPPORT, our ROCKS 🥌. We felt your love and support all the way up in Eveleth, MN. We truly couldn't have done it without you!
