This month's featured fitness move, the BOSU Side Plank is demonstrated here by our fitness staff member, Tait! 💪

▪️Place your right elbow on top of the BOSU ball directly under your right shoulder
▪️Stack your shoulders in a straight line over your elbow, with your left arm extended towards the ceiling
▪️Stack your feet with your left foot on top of the right foot
▪️Engage your abdominal and glute muscles, and keep your body in a straight line from head to heels
▪️Hold this position for 15-45 seconds, gradually increasing as you become stronger
▪️Switch to the other side
▪️Repeat on each side once more

We're back (mostly)! 🧽🪣 After five days of maintenance and deep cleaning, the fitness floor is open as of August 25. The gymnasium and fitness studios will remain closed until August 30 to allow floors time to finish curing.

Friendly reminder that Techny Prairie Activity Center is closed through August 24 for maintenance and will partially reopen August 25. The gymnasium and fitness studios will remain closed until August 30 to allow floors to cure after refinishing.

Member Fred Karlin loves taking group classes at TPAC, especially BODYPUMP, Barre Sculpt and Cycle Journey.

“Having other people around gives me motivation,” he says. “I like the music, because it keeps me interested and makes the time go faster. And I like the instructors — they are all really good.”

A member since 2022, Fred says he is a big fan of TPAC. In fact, he recently convinced his girlfriend to become a member as well.

“It’s open and airy, there is a lot of sunlight. The members are really friendly, no one is judgmental. And the price is very reasonable!”
