Lots of people on the mat at today’s noon class. Nice to have some “night class” folks stop in to mix it up a bit. The variety of size, weight, skill level, and style helps keep you out of the comfortable routine and forces you to adapt, promoting change and growth.

Didn’t really feel like training today. Know what I did instead? Trained anyway. wouldn’t be proud of the decision, he’d just growl, “Good.” and carry on.
How did I feel after this session? Better. Beat up, for sure…but better. Sometimes the mind needs to 🤫 while the body 🥵.

Had a great time at today’s “thrift jitsu” open mat. Some good takeaways about how “street clothes” might hold up and be used for/against you in a somewhat “real life” situation. T-shirts are flimsy but can cinch up quick and hoodies are a bit of a liability if you’re not careful.
Thanks to the folks that took the time to play the game. Looking forward to doing this again soon, maybe with a spring/summer fashion theme.
