The Yarmouth High School Golf Program received some exciting news today from the Western Maine Conference! The WMC has named four additional golfers to the All-Conference Team. Yarmouth now leads the Western Maine Conference with a total six all-star golfers. The WMC took into account playoff matches as well as best average scores from the regular season. Congratulations to Senior Colby Carnes, Junior Gabe Janczuk, Junior Declan Hickey, Junior Jackson Nalli, Sophomore Henry Shub, and Sophomore Kate Geary!

The 2025 Yarmouth High School Golf Season has officially come to a close, with all events and matches behind us. The varsity team finished 13-0 in the regular season and finished first at regionals. The State Championship match did not end as we hoped, and that still stings a bit for these kids, but they are returning an incredibly strong team for next fall - with 5 of the 2025 Top 6 golfers coming back. They are teammates but also friends, and they made the best memories: playing golf with buddies until the sun goes down after school, supporting each other after the awesome matches and the hard matches, and fun team dinners with Coach Cox and Bus Driver Terry on the way home.

It’s hard to say goodbye to our seniors (Nate, Alden, Antonio, and Hakon - fantastic crew!) with a special nod to Senior Captain Colby Carnes. Carnes is an exceptional golfer, athlete, student, and person - he was the team leader and played varsity golf for four years for Yarmouth.

We’ve had a record number of students trying out for golf in recent years and expect that to continue next fall. Our JV program is likely the strongest in the state. Many of our JV golfers played in varsity matches this season and would have been full-time varsity in nearly every other community. We have such a strong and fun crew returning across the board.

We are so fortunate and excited to have a couple of awesome girl golfers on the team. We hope to grow the girls golf program in Yarmouth in the coming years with Kate and Annalyse leading the way!

We’ve decided Head Coach Dave Cox may be the kindest and most positive person on the planet. We are grateful for the countless hours of time - and the encouragement and support he gives our players. This is a lucky crew to have JV Coach Key and Assistant Coach Robinson helping every step of the way, too.

We are very thankful for our relationship with Toddy Brook Golf Course. Thank you to the ownership and employees for this wonderful partnership.

That’s a wrap on 2025! The community excitement, enthusiasm, and support around Clipper Golf is off the charts - and we appreciate it very much. Big things to come in 2026!

An incredible season comes to an end. Yarmouth finished in 4th place out of 14 teams at the state championship today.

Two golfers finished in the Top 20: Sophomore Henry Shub finished in 11th place and Junior Jackson Nalli finished in 17th place (out of 105 golfers).

In the girls division, congratulations to Sophomore Kate Geary who came in third place (out of 11 golfers).

There is so much more to say about this amazing crew of kids, but for now, we just want to say thank you for all of the community support and interest in Yarmouth Golf this fall. There is so much excitement around the program thanks to the players, their families, and the incredible Coach Cox. We’re very proud of this team.
