As I end year 2 of this summer business journey, again I can't help but be overcome with gratitude for so many things.
22 out of 24 planned Day Trips were successfully completed and everyone remained safe!!
I'm grateful to the parents who trust me with your young ones. While it's still so new and I'm still developing things, I'm grateful you gave the business a shot and trusted me to look after your children and accompany them on these summer adventures. ποΈπβ±οΈππ΄
I'm thankful to the kids...man my heart breaks open for them. This age certainly has many challenges. Adolescence is a time of growth in every way. Physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. They are trying to make sense of a complex world and starting to form their own identities, under massive hormonal instability and body development. Despite the challenges, they showed up, embraced the day (even when they wanted to stay in bed) and did the best they could with every situation. It wasn't always easy, but we did it together and made it through the whole summer!!! π π π
I'm grateful for the financial support of Cathy Crane and everyone who supports Doug's Camp Fund, who made it possible for so many children to get outside and enjoy the incredible possibilities right in our backyard!! π₯Ήπ₯ΉπποΈπΊπ²π‘π’β°οΈποΈπ§π₯Ύ
I'm grateful for all the businesses, organizations and voluteers who gave us a deal, donated time or taught us things we didn't know!!! Sometimes our group is much smaller than what you normally deal with, but you treated us with the same level of integrity and made us feel just as worthy. and I appreciate that!! π₯° ππ―πΉππ£π₯ππ«
I'm grateful for MY family, who gives me direction and purpose and encourages me to be a good mom. I have many flaws, but you love me anyway. I have high expectations. When they aren't met, I can take it rather personally. I'm so sorry. Thanks for forgiving me and giving me grace in my own imperfections.
I'm so grateful to everyone who liked the ROH page, shared our posts and messages and interacted with the account to help get the word out. It worked!!! Thank you! βοΈπ₯°
Most importantly, I give thanks and all credit to my Lord, Jesus Christ, who died so I could live freely and gives me strength to pursue a life with purpose and meaning. He's woven in the fabric of my very being, at every moment. Without Him, I can do nothing. I'm inspired by his life AND death and I hope when this is all over, he will say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant...come share your master's joy" Mathew 25:21 βοΈπ
