Had another really fast race car. We were top 5 in all practices. Going into the heat we started 7th and drove up to 2nd. In the feature we started 10th. It felt like the first 12 laps what ever lane we were in went backwards. After that we drove back up to 5th. After a hard battle for 4th in the closing laps we settled for 5th. It was a great day and we are looking forward to week with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

This week's Thankful Thursday shout out goes to Dole Mill RC Speedway! Picked up our first win on the year! During practice we tried some new things and needed to find and little bit of speed and handling. Going into the heat race we started 3rd and was able to get to the lead and finish 1st! Going into the feature we started 3rd and was leading by lap 8. From there we never looked back. Until a caution with 2 to go… with a good start and a clean, hard race with Kasey Beattie, we were able to come out on top!

Thankful Thursday!

The second race of the season is in the books, and we look forward to improving over the next 50 laps in the upcoming race. This week, we are thankful to have Tim's White Mountain Garage as one of our sponsors. Owner Tim Churchill has been a racer and racing enthusiast for many years, competing on both dirt and pavement in several different divisions over the years.

Another fast race car this weekend. We were running in the .6s during all three practice sessions and had great speed right from the start. In the heat race, we were able to move from P4 up to P2 and felt really good heading into the feature.

We rolled off 6th for the feature, but on lap 3 I made the biggest mistake of my racing career. I ran over the car in front of me and ended up collecting several cars behind me. As a result, I was sent to the rear in 27th.

We put our heads down and fought hard the rest of the race, driving all the way back to a 10th-place finish. While I’m proud we never gave up, I want to sincerely apologize to the Cahoon family and crew . I ruined their race as well as my own before it really even got started, along with everyone else involved. Racing is full of highs and lows, and tonight was a tough lesson to learn.

I’ll own it, learn from it, and move forward. We’ll be back in action next weekend for a regular 50-lap race.
