Peace Regime Boxing Club We are a boxing-based gym that offers fitness boxing, skills classes, strength and conditioning sessions, competition opportunities, and more!!!

Peace Regime Boxing Club, home of the “Peacemaker Boxing System”, is a boxing, fitness, and health club located in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina that focuses on equipping it’s members with the skills they need to be successful inside of the boxing ring with competition and outside of the boxing ring with life. It was established in 2015 and offers contact and non-contact skills-based boxing cla

sses, fitness boxing classes, strength and conditioning sessions, diet and nutritional advice, and sanctioned boxing competition opportunities. The club’s programs are for men, women, and children of all ages and provide participants a fun way to achieve serious fitness and make going to the gym something to look forward to. The club’s unique “Peacemaker Boxing System” is a technical boxing skills program that provides a fresh, new way to learn how to box. The system is based on learning practical, time-tested boxing fundamentals that build a strong foundation of functional boxing skills for the participant. The program teaches the many aspects of effective offense, effective defense, and how to develop speed and power. It also places a strong emphasis on important skills such as proper stance, balance, footwork, positioning, punch accuracy, and head movement. In addition the program provides the participant with a strong understanding of ring strategy, tactics, generalship, logistics and other aspects that can help in a boxing match or a self defense situation. The overall goal of the system is to create a complete athlete who knows when, what, where, why, and how to do, or behave in the ring. To help the participant effectively learn, stay motivated, and continue to advance with their training the Peacemaker Boxing System includes a proprietary color-coded wrist wrap system that works in much the same manner as belt systems do in other forms of martial arts. This organized goals-based approach to teaching the art of boxing gives the participant achievable short-term and long-term goals to work towards. The program is designed and structured to teach skills in a logical and coherent order to help the participant build a strong foundation to which they can continue to build upon as they advance through the program. This “principals build upon principals” approach to teaching boxing makes learning easier and faster, and it helps the boxer retain more of the information they learn over the long run. Simply put, The Peacemaker Boxing System is a strong, effective program that gives you a real education on the sweet science of boxing! The club is registered with USA Boxing and its coaches are USA Boxing certified. Group classes, private lessons, personal training sessions, open gym memberships, and daily gym passes are available.

I wasn't sure I would ever make a post from this account again, but here I am!

I just wanted to send a quick message out to all of our PRBC family to let them know that Anthony "Biggie" Perales is training for a comeback!!! He is training to fight at the BODYARMOR State Games in Concord, NC in mid-June before he goes back to college in the fall.

If you see him out and about, give him a message of encouragement and wish him luck!

I am training him along with the help of his younger brother Luis "Chucho" Cabrera. It has definitely been a team effort, and as always, we are training hard, smart, and to win!!!

I hope everyone is doing well!

After much thought and prayer I have decided to close our gym to the public. It's been a great 22 months of being open thanks to all the great people who have walked through our doors.

I apologize for the sudden notice... but as of December 1st we will no longer be open to the public.

Running a business is hard. I knew this before I decided to open our club. When I used to train boxers in my grandmother's garage I always said I wanted to just train boxers and I knew that if I opened a gym it would be much more than that. I was right! Running a business, particularly a boxing gym, in a town where boxing isn't part of the culture is a hard thing to do! I wanted to do my best to try and do something special for my town (North Wilkesboro), my community (Wilkes County), and the surrounding areas. I can promise you all I did my very best with the building and every person that came through my door. This year I've had too much stress on me worrying about making the bills and I feel I've done the best I can with it and it is time for me to go in a different direction with my life.

Since we opened the doors we have had hundreds of people come in and try us out. The times that I have had at the gym are some of the best moments of my life and I will always cherish them. I feel our gym has done really well from a competitive standpoint and in many other ways.

With this being said my plan is to find a smaller location that would be closed to the public where I would continue to train some of my serious competitive boxers. I'm working on that now. I will post more about that as I learn more.

I would like to say thanks to my wife Casey and my family for bing so supportive during all of this. I would also like to thank the town of North Wilkesboro and all of the coaches who helped (Chris Blevins, Heather Powell, Nate Jolly, Julie Watkins, Jerome Watkins, Sylvia Cabrera, Jason Trivette, David Dancey, Tom Vawter, Jared Robinson, Lavonte Earley, Adam Esposito, Stevie Massey, James Pressley, Earl Barber, Corey Nelson, and anyone else who helped out!) Huge thanks to Matt McCurdy for keeping the gym so clean, and to John Miller for cleaning as well. They really did a great job taking care of the place! I would also like to say thanks to all of the other gyms who have let us come train with them: Atlantic MMA, Hickory Fight Club, Charlotte Boxing Academy, D.Y.M.E. Boxing, and The Ultimate Gym. Most importantly I would like to say thank you to all of my customers. Out of everything that went on with the gym I am most proud of the great group of people that made up our gym family. We were truly blessed with a great group of kind, loving, and wonderful people. I will miss you all.

If you have left anything at the gym, or need to talk to me about any membership dues or anything please call the gym, inbox me, or stop by the gym. We will be using this month to clear things out. I will make sure everyone and everything is taken care of... so don't worry!

Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks again so much everyone!

With love,
Andrew X
