Stop slipping without making them pay.

When the straight right comes, slip outside the punch and fire your rear hand straight to the body.

The slip gets your head off the center line. The counter works because you’re attacking while they’re still extended and out of position.

Stay tight, keep your eyes up, and don’t over-slip.

Make them miss. Make them pay.

counterpunching

Your punch isn’t finished until your hand is back.

A lot of beginners think defense starts after the combination. It doesn’t.

Punch the bag, bring your hand straight back to guard, then catch the return shot.

This drill builds:
• Faster guard recovery
• Better defensive habits
• Cleaner punch mechanics
• Better awareness after you throw

Hit, recover, defend. Every time.

New to the gym? Start here.

You do not need 12 exercises and a complicated split to build a solid base.

This full body workout covers the major movement patterns:
• Pull
• Squat
• Press
• Hinge

Keep the weight controlled, focus on clean reps, and aim for 3 sets of 10–12 on each exercise.

Master the basics first. Progress gets a lot easier after that.

If you could only focus on one right now, what would it be?

For most guys I’d start with strength training, daily movement, and getting nutrition under control. Do those consistently before worrying about supplements, complicated cardio plans, or whatever fitness trend is popular this week.

Simple is easier to repeat, and what you repeat is what gets results.

Comment “Dialed In” if you need help simplifying your plan.

Defending Against a basic 1-2-3, keep the defense simple:

1. Parry the jab
2. Catch the cross
3. Catch the lead hook

The key is staying compact. Don’t reach for punches or let your hands drift away from your face.

Small movements keep you balanced, protected, and ready to counter.

Good defense puts you in position to fire back.

Most beginners dodge the jab wrong.

Don’t pull your head straight back and give up your position.

Use a small slip or step just outside the jab, keep your eyes on your opponent, and stay balanced enough to fire back immediately.

The goal isn’t just to make the jab miss. It’s to make it miss while putting yourself in position to counter.

Small movement. Better position. Faster counter.

Tight shoulders? Your upper back might be the problem.

This weighted thoracic opener helps restore extension through your upper back while your shoulders move overhead.

Keep your ribs controlled, move slowly, and let the stretch come from your upper back instead of cranking through your low back.

Better thoracic mobility can mean cleaner overhead movement, better posture, and less compensation through the shoulders.

Open the upper back. Let the shoulders move better.

Which one would make your week easier?

Try this:

1. Pick your protein first
2. Cook extra at dinner
3. Keep easy breakfasts available
4. Have 2-3 emergency meals
5. Stop trying to make every meal different

Meal prep doesn’t have to mean spending your entire Sunday in the kitchen.

When the lead hook comes, catch it tight with your lead hand and fire the 4 right back.

The key is keeping the catch compact. Don’t reach for the punch or let your hand drift away from your face.

Catch it clean, stay balanced, then counter before they can reset.

Defense should create offense.

A good jab isn’t just about throwing your lead hand fast.

Keep your chin tucked, shoulder protecting your jaw, and rear hand glued to your face. Drive the punch straight to the target, turn the fist over at the end, then snap it right back to your guard.

The jab helps you control distance, set up combinations, interrupt your opponent, and create openings.

Don’t push the jab. Snap it and recover.
