For years, 247 FC’s Sprawl in the Burgh and Louis Armezzani’s The Real1 Challenge have worked to create opportunities for grapplers throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Along the way, there have been countless conversations about what this sport could become if the right people came together with a shared vision.
Today, that vision takes a massive step forward.
On July 25, 247 FC and The Real 1 proudly launch THE PROVING GROUND.
This isn’t just another grappling event.
It’s the culmination of years of hard work, countless events, strong relationships, and a commitment to growing the sport we all love.
More importantly, it’s a reflection of what the Pittsburgh grappling community has become.
The athletes deserve it. Tag them!
The coaches deserve it. Tag them too!
The gyms deserve it. Yinz better tag them!
What makes our region special isn’t any one organization. It’s the incredible people who dedicate themselves to the sport every day and the community they’ve built together.
THE PROVING GROUND is being built to showcase that talent, create new opportunities for competitors, and help elevate Pittsburgh grappling onto a larger stage.
Our vision is ambitious. We believe this region has the talent, passion, and support to help build one of the premier grappling organizations in the country.
Every great journey starts with a first step.
On July 25, that journey begins.
